That forever in-development live-action adaptation of The Jetsons, which has been talked about since even before two-thirds of the "Jetsons" image results were incestuous/bestial fan art, now has some new writers deciding whether to write-out Astro's dialogue with his doggy speech impediment or without. As Variety reports, Warner Bros. has hired Van Robichaux and Evan Susser to rewrite their constantly-rewritten script, last touched by Fanboys writer Adam F. Goldberg. It is very hard to write a broad family comedy but also allude to flying cars! That's why the cartoon series eventually had to add that white, furry character with springs for legs, just to make sense of it all.
Robichaux and Susser go into this dismal affair with some BUZZ (industry term) coming off their Black List script for Chewie--a screenplay that, like Goldberg with Fanboys, mostly gives the writers experience working with the assumption of an eventual lawsuit from George Lucas. Donald De Line and Denise Di Novi are producing, and Kanye West will serve as creative director, because he made up that position in the crew and then decided he would fill it. The movie will be very bad, and even though you'll remind yourself it's for children, it will be hard to ignore that it's so bad, what with Astro farting to propel himself through space right in the trailer.
